Urban Planning of Lagunilla, Home of the ENC

Since 2016, the ENC has carried out its activities in a temporary space while construction is underway on its permanent facilities —an ambitious project being built on a 30,000-square-meter site in the municipality of Tapalpa, Jalisco, in western Mexico, surrounded by an incredible natural environment.

Facilities

With its facilities, the ENC aims to support the work of multiple generations of ceramists and provide a space where new artists can receive a comprehensive education. The architectural project includes key spaces for students and instructors, such as:

Institute for Ceramological Research

The School's facilities will house the Institute for Ceramological Research, a nationally significant project aimed at meeting the technological, academic, scientific, and aesthetic needs essential for the innovation, design, and broad development of ceramics in Mexico.

Our Purpose

The ENC seeks to develop professional ceramists through a range of educational programs, grounded in artistic, scientific, creative, technical, and ethical principles. In the future, we will offer formal education at various levels:
